Cutting Tools

In 1987, Tiangong International imported its first rolling mill and produced its first twist drill. This marked the beginning of Tiangong International's journey in the development of precision cutting tools. Over 36 years of development, Tiangong International's precision cutting tool products have continually evolved, transitioning from common civilian-grade precision cutting tools to industrial-grade tools. The company also made a complete transformation from using ordinary high-speed tool steel as the base material to using powder materials as the base material for the production of precision cutting tools. This upgrade led to a comprehensive improvement in product performance and made Tiangong International become the world's sole professional manufacturer of a full range of powder-based conventional cutting tools. Its products cover all hole processing and thread machining tool categories, and are widely employed in the aerospace, petrochemical, mechanical machining, medical equipment, and military industries. Tiangong International has established a fruitful industry-academic collaboration with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, extensively expanding their powder tool product range to continuously meet high-end manufacturing demands.

In June 2022, Tiangong International’s new grinding and drilling factory was officially constructed and put into operation, with a monthly output of 16 million pieces of grinding drills. In 2022, the powder fixed-shank drill was successfully developed. In the same year, Tiangong International Powder Tap Factory was completed and put into operation, becoming the first professional manufacturer in China to produce high-performance powder taps using self-produced powder steel as raw materials. The production equipment is selected from Japan, Germany and domestic top tap equipment brands, with a designed annual production capacity of 20 million of taps. Tiangong International is continuing to expand the research and development and mass production of powder series cutting tool products, and aims to become a leader in the global new materials industry and the world's only professional manufacturer of a full series of powdered cutting tool products.
